Better than volume one, but I don’t think that’s too hard to beat. The pacing in this one was WAY better than the first and the plot was interesting in a lot of ways. The villain is interesting but a bit too dramatic and underdeveloped. I’m still not a huge fan of the art style but it’s definitely improved from the first volume. I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this series, it’s a really underwhelming execution of a cool concept.
