The Lady in the Street by Emmy Ellis, M.A. Comley

5.0

This is the second book in this series and what a cracker it is! Full of suspense and intrigue, we have a story that pulls you in from the start and a book that is unputdownable.

DI Stratton and her team and have just finished solving one murder and now faced with a stabbing of a young female that doesn't seem to make sense. The murder victim has been stabbed multiple times but there is a lack of blood. Why? Where is it all? A neighbour opposite remembers seeing a woman in the street during the night. Who is she? Could she have seen something? The police start their enquiries but then there is another murder....just what is going on in this small seaside town?

This is such a dark book but superbly written and it will draw you. DI Stratton and her team have their work cut out to crack this murder case as it will test them. Just who is this woman who keeps appearing and are the killings random or connected? If so, how? A fantastic read, I loved it.
