i liked so much about this book. great story and storytelling. the writing is top notch. characters are vivid and quirky. that being said, i had difficulty, cringed actually, with the abundance of luridly graphic depictions of violence...human on human, human on animal, and human on the environment. not saying they weren't plausible, on the contrary. it was just too much for me. readers beware!
