I loved Pieces of Her, the book and the tv adaptation. Although different, both are highly entertaining as was this book!! Girl, Forgotten is a sequel to Pieces of Her, but could be a standalone. Not much was referenced from the previous book, so you are safe from spoilers.

Girl, Forgotten follows Andrea Oliver—one of our protagonists from the first book. She’s now a US Marshal and is tasked to protect a Judge who is receiving death threats and who also happens to be the mother of a teenager, Emily Vaughn, who was murdered in 1982. The killer was never caught. It’s up to Andrea to help solve the murder. Secrets, lies, betrayal—no one can be trusted.

I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to see what Andrea, Laura, Gordon and Mike were up to. I very much enjoyed all of these characters. I loved the dual timelines—getting to see the events that lead up to the murder of Emily Vaughn, those were definitely my favorite!! I’d really like to see this become season 2 of Pieces of Her on Netflix!! ✌🏼

Read if you enjoy:
✔️Pieces of Her (book or show)
✔️edge of your seat thrillers
✔️unreliable characters
✔️dual timelines
