Apollo has been missing for going on 6 months and comes to in a dumpster in an alley in NYC. Maybe he wakes up on the way down, into the dumpster. Anyway. Right away he gets beat up and robbed by mortal boys, and a pre-teen demigod girl saves him and then claims his service. Since Apollo’s been turned mortal 2 other times in his 4,000 long years, he knows he has some trials to face with this demigod and then Papa Zeus will zap him back to being a god. Right?

First up he heads to Percy’s because why wouldn’t he? I just love Percy. Which everyone knows. (HBD, yesterday 8-18-25 lol) Percy helps them get to CHB but then bounces because he’s got a bunch of schoolwork to make up with Hera having him MIA for 8 months and then the whole Gaia thing.

Someone is targeting oracles. Campers are going missing. Nico and Will are THE CUTEST. Apollo is annoying AF – from crying about not being a god anymore, to expecting people to do things for him – up to and including dying, it’s pretty typical for him. But once he’s willing to die to save his children, once he realizes he’s been played by Meg and it upsets him and he’s STILL willing to die for her, you know we’re on the right path.

Oh. And Leo shows up. And gets punched, a lot.
