If Daydream were a vibe, it would be cozy college nights, an artist/hockey player, and a budding author figuring out life—complete with slow-burn tension and laugh-out-loud moments. It’s the third book in Hannah Grace’s Maple Hills series, and let’s just say, it delivers big on romance and reliability.

Best Quote:

“This might be my favorite romance book, but we’re my favorite love story.”

Why You'll Love It:
  • Henry and Halle = Adorable Chaos: Henry is the reluctant captain of the hockey team, balancing undiagnosed ADHD, his art, and his new leadership role, while Halle is an academic superstar drowning in the inability to say no to anyone. The best part of Halle and Henry is their mutual respect and their true desire to be good to each other. The key to what makes them work? Communication. It's refreshing to see a couple actually TALK and listen and respect one another. Watching them stumble from awkward friends to something more is a total serotonin boost.
  • Tropes, Tropes, Tropes: Friends-to-lovers? Slow burn? Hockey romance? They are all there. Throw in some heartfelt grand gestures, a few sexy scenes (one with body paint), and a great supporting cast and you have all the right ingredients for a great book.
  • Serious Feels, Fun Package: Sure, it’s lighthearted, but Daydream tackles real issues like loneliness, neurodivergence, and the pressure of always saying yes. It’s a romance with depth—and who doesn’t love characters that feel like real people?

A Few Quirks:
  • At nearly 500 pages, it’s a bit of a commitment, some of the story lines felt a little unnecessary and like they were filler.
  • Some of the extra story lines were never fully brought full-circle. I wanted to know Henry's moms more, and have some better closure for Halle and her family issues.
  • If you’re a die-hard Maple Hills fan, you might notice Henry feels a little different than in Icebreaker

Whether you’re here for the swoony romance, the laugh-out-loud banter, or the "OMG, that scene!" moments, Daydream will have you hooked. It’s perfect for fans of The Love Hypothesis or The Spanish Love Deception—and for anyone who needs a good excuse to procrastinate (Henry would approve).
Final verdict? Grab a blanket, some cocoa, and prepare to fall head over heels. Just don’t blame me if you’re up all night finishing it!
