This book. Man, this book. It's good. Really good. Really sad too. I really got attached to these characters and that ending man, it got me. It pulled all the heartstrings I have, which aren't many, but difficult to reach. In Maddie's position, I think I probably would have done the same thing if I knew it was what Julie wanted, but it would be difficult. Everything they do in this book would be difficult. The whole war put everyone through the most difficult things possible. I like that this showed what sort of things happen in war, and how there isn't really a winner, and that each side has a story, and that all losses are painful, and that some things are worse than death. There's a lot of good stuff about this book. I recommend it to anyone who isn't afraid of reading a difficult story.
