Persuasion by Jane Austen

this was the most fun i think I've had reading an Austen novel. I have becoming more familiar with her writing so it was quite easy for me to understand and the writing was just impeccable. You can tell she was a well experienced writer by this point. P&P is still my favourite story but the 2005 movie is mostly responsible for that tehe so this is now tied for my favourite book. Anne and Wentworth were killing it in the yearning department and omg the tension while he was writing the letter. There is such growth and learning from mistakes in this book and the way Anne feels for so long that their love is lost then the slow rising of hope as she realizes he still loves her. Like the scene at the concert was so good. Anne was also just a really interesting character. Where Lizzy was more outspoken and advocating for herself, Anne was easily persuaded and more of a wallflower. But it was short and sweet and bingeable and I really loved it.
