The Family Man by Elinor Lipman

3.0

Yet another book I've read recently that seems like contemporary Austen, The Family Man is a decent enough book as long as you temper your expectations.

The characters are well-written, likable, and funny. The plot, on the other hand, while not wafer-thin, is pretty close. This is one of the few books I've read in recent memory that could actually benefit from an extra plotline or two. The plot is also pretty repetitive, but the dialogue is entertaining enough to see you through.

If you want something frothy and fairly fun, this might be just what the doctor ordered.
