Golden Son by Pierce Brown

5.0

2/8/16 I have finished my reread of Golden Son and am once again blown away by the beauty of this story. I am so ready for Morning Star!

I am undone. I generally avoid trilogies. They tend to be full of empty spaces and characters and stories tend to drag. Not so, this one. I was drawn to Red Rising by a simple summary on Goodreads and, with Golden Son, have come to love these characters and this story. They are unlike any I have read. This story and these characters have become my solitary moments of escape. And not just Darrow and Mustang, but Sevro and the Howlers, Ragnor, Tactus, and Victra. All blend together to create an unforgettable idea of justice and truth and loyalty. I anxiously await the story that will culminate with Morning Star. Mr. Brown, you have created a world that is both brutal and beautiful. I am forever in your debt.
