This book takes your classic psychological thriller tropes, tosses them all into the pot, and then never lets it come to a simmer. There's moments of promise and interest, but nothing ever comes together to create a cohesive story or enjoyable cast of characters. I was left wondering when the plot would come to a peak and it never did, overall, the book uses language beautifully but falls flat in creating any consistency or interest. It's jumpy, broken, and confusing.
