A very good second book in the County Kerry series, Some of Us Are Looking continues the adventures of small town veterinarian Dimpna as she navigates animal cruelty and death. A man is killed in a hit-and-run, which also kills a mother fox, starting off the plot. And then a young woman is found brutally murdered. Like other books with veterinarian main characters, there are a lot of pages with animal treatments, including vet treatments and blood.
