Sweet Damage
by Rebecca James
Australia, a big mansion, agoraphobia and a bit of madness.
This is one of the few psychological thrillers I’ve read and it was pretty good except for a few things. It had WAY too much swearing for my taste. But despite that I was too far in and wanted to know what happened. I’ve hardly read books with a male lead from a female author and I thought some parts were too risqué and I don’t need to know when the character is only thinking about having relations with another character.
——— Spoiler alert from this point on ———
I liked all the creepiness of it and was glad it didn’t end up being anything paranormal cause I stay away from that genre. But having the killer be the most annoying person in the book is a little predictable. I mean halfway through I’m like if it’s her that’s gonna be kinda lame. But at the same time she was pretty psycho in the end and more psycho than her found out to be sister.
I do like the authors writing despite what was mentioned earlier. I mean I read it in a day I’d say that’s pretty good. But not sure if it’s one I’ll keep on my shelves.
