Unhinged by Onley James
4.0

"He didn’t know how to describe it. From the moment he’d seen him standing there, holding that gun on him, Adam had just known he wasn’t going to let him go.
Ever."

"“Did you just break into my house?”
Adam frowned, turning back to look at the door like Noah might be talking to somebody else. When he looked back, he shrugged. “Technically, I just pulled really hard and it opened.”"

"You are the family I’ll fight to keep. Nobody else."

Unhinged tells the story of Noah, whose life is shattered after his father is murdered. Shuffled from foster home to foster home, Noah is consumed by a thirst for revenge. When he discovers that the killer is none other than the charismatic and confident Adam, who seems oddly obsessed with him, his world is turned upside down once more. As Adam reveals the shocking reasons behind the murder, Noah's life takes a dramatic turn, and he realizes that everything he thought he knew was just the tip of a dark and sinister iceberg.

I've come to realize that I love stories where the main characters get together right away, and Unhinged is no exception. The bond between Noah and Adam is incredibly compelling, and their partnership is one of the best I've read in years. The plot takes a thrilling turn into suspense, and I was completely hooked from start to finish. The dynamics between Noah's siblings are also fascinating, and I'm eager to learn more about their unique connections.
While the overall plot is incredibly addictive, I do feel that the resolution to the mystery was a bit rushed. The build-up was intense and engaging, but the climax felt a bit anticlimactic, wrapped up too quickly in just a few short chapters. Despite this minor flaw, Unhinged is a fantastic read. It's a thrilling and emotionally charged story that will keep you guessing until the very end.
