The Marsh King's Daughter by Karen Dionne
5.0
Written from a daughter’s point of view. Her father abducted her mother. The three of them lived in a marsh in Michigan. There are dual time lines of childhood memories and young adult life away from the marsh. Character development is excellent and the story moves along quickly. There are descriptions of abuse and other violence but it is not gratuitous. Those descriptions help in understanding the story. I really enjoyed it.
