Joan: A Novel of Joan of Arc by Katherine J. Chen

Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.
This book was less historical fiction and more fiction set in the past. Some known facts about Joan and her family were changed, some horrific moments were added that didn’t move the plot along so felt unnecessary. What also felt unnecessary was a moment perhaps of foreshadowing but seeing as most people picking up this book will  know how it ends for Joan, it just felt unnecessary and gruesome
