As The Crow Flies by Damien Boyd

2.0

Decidedly average. Interesting premise to start, but slow. Tbh, he forced the investigation along, rather than the plot leading the way. Speaking of, the climax was non-existent and the conclusion unsatisfying and ambiguous (who was running away on the cliff top then?!).

The characters were... well, basically emotive robots. But they weren’t characters you emotionally connect with. Very blah, very stereotypical. Best character of them all was Monty, and I felt terrible for how often he was left alone in the car. Dixon certainly isn’t an ideal dog owner.

A shallow read (one that requires no thinking, but also doesn’t draw you in), but easy to get through.
