I loved this book up until the last few pages, when I wish we had been given a bit more closure - Especially since this book was written for younger kids (my son is reading the series too and I know he is going to HATE this ending).

One other thing that bothered me

is how Collins essentially tells us at the end of the books that the prophecies weren't real. It's a bit of a let-down and somewhat unbelievable as well. Also, the fact that Sandwich the hero is suddenly turned into a bad guy seems a bit odd - but this is a good talking point with our kids about the founders of our country and their treatment of the natives here.

Overall, the book was a great read, though, and I still give the series 4 stars.
