Loved loved loved the Elzar and Avar content in this book. Their arc was incredible.
Same with Burry and Bell, and Cair and Xylan they're so amazing.
Vernestra is the only one that didn't felt as interesting as before. But maybe that's just cause I'm still mad at her for the end of Defy the Storm. But I think she doesnt feel closer to what we see in The Acolyte in a way Lina was awsome too !
This was described as a Jedi love story, and that's exactly what it was. Which is shocking for THR, because usually they pitch us a sweet and nice thing and inside the book it's angst and destruction.
But no. Not here. No one died or was left on the brink of death.
Which also makes me wonder how it'll feel to read the next book and see the jedi defeating the Nihil and Nameless and Drengir. I'm not used to the good guys winning in THR ðŸ˜
