Although I live in DC and watch cable news regularly, I do not regularly read this type of book. And yet I found Cheney’s account compelling. Even after having watched the Jan 6 commission testimony, certainly says something about the state of our democracy that logic and morals have no place in the Republican Party. Which I realize is a polarizing statement, yet there’s clear evidence to back it up. If Dick Cheney of all people can teach his daughter to stand up for morality and justice and the spirit - hell our actual Constitution- THAT is saying something. I am proud that Liz had her own constitution to speak truth to power.
