This series was full of surprises to me - I loved the twist and turns the story took. The Author absolutely aimed for the moon, this story has layers including slavery/poverty, political rivals and instability - not to mention the Fey!!! I couldn't believe these were indie published and not trad. I have really enjoyed both this series and the Crowns of Nyaxia, will definitely be chomping at the bit for her next book. 

To me the most unique part of this series was Reshaye/Aefe - her entire story was such ride. I loved the way her character was introduced and how her storyline progressed. I just really enjoyed how it all came together, definitely recommend this series and all else by Carissa!
