Ten years ago, college student Emma McCullough went to a party in the woods and disappeared. This event deeply affected the lives of many - her parents, her teenaged sister Hailey, her bestfriend Josie, her almost-boyfriend, and even her art teacher. Now, Josie is attacked right before an open house she is hosting, and connections from all those years ago start to surface.  All Hailey wants to know is what really happened to her sister, so she can finally rest in peace.

I found them surprisingly real and relatable. The quirks, the flaws, everything. It felt like a fully fleshed out csst, and the author did a great job of taking you into different ones and throwing suspicion on different people throughout the book. I'm typically very good at guessing whodunit, but either I'm out of practice or Sise is just that good. I didn't have a firm opinion until much closer to the reveal than usual.

As stated above, it felt like a tightly plotted and edited mystery. The alternating timelines were easy to go in and out of, and everyone was different enough I didn't get muddled. I do feel like the POV changes were rather dropped at the end, I think I would have liked to see from Priya at least once more, but that's about all I felt really stuck out.

I don't believe I've heard anything from either of the narrators. I felt they were good but somewhat interchangeable. One very skilled narrator probably could have done it just as well. But no complaints!

Very good listen, I really enjoyed it. I think lovers of domestic mystery/thrillers would probably enjoy this expertly tangled web. Definitely looking out for more by this author.
