My review is for the overall series. Below are my thoughts on each story. I have ranked them in order of enjoyment.
- 5/5 ⭐️ Emergency Skin by N.K. Jemisin - A timely and thought provoking read. What if the Trumps, Bezos, and Musks of the world just left and literally went to their own planet?
- 4.75/5 ⭐️ Summer Frost by Blake Crouch - Fast paced and terrifying. I am contemplating getting rid of my Alexa.
- 4/5 ⭐️ You Have Arrived at Your Destination by Amor Towles - An interesting take on becoming a parent and how choices affect our lives.
- 3.75 ⭐️ The Last Conversation - A mind boggling insight to the potential of human cloning.
- 3.5/5 ⭐️ Randomize by Andy Weir - An interesting take on the future of computers - quantum computing. It was not my favorite but still a good story line.
- 2/5 ⭐️ Ark by Veronica Roth - While mildly thought provoking, the story lacked depth. I think it would have been better as a fully flushed out novel.
