Letters from an Astrophysicist by Neil deGrasse Tyson

5.0

Neil deGrasse Tyson is definitely my science crush. Not only is he brilliant, but he also expresses his thoughts and opinions so eloquently, that when he explains science or ideas it is very easy to understand. (even for a non astrophysicist like myself)

The book is exactly what the title suggests. Neil (can I call him Neil? I feel as if I know him now) gets a lot of correspondence, and he pics some of the highlights of emails, real letters and occasional social media posts and his responses to them. He treats everyone with respect, even if their ideas are crazy, and I really appreciate that about him, but even with respect, he's not without a little bit of humor.

Some letters had me laughing, some got me a little misty, and some touched my heart so much, that I couldn't help but cry. I really loved reading this, and after each letter, I meant to put the book down, but I talked myself into just one more!
