The Weather Detective: Rediscovering Nature's Secret Signs by Peter Wohlleben

3.0

I am glad I finally finished this. I started it in 2021 and only got to like page 5 in disappointment. With it being based in Europe, many of the signals (animals, plants, seas, etc) are most applicable to European readers, though it wasn’t unhelpful. I loved the hints at using plants within your garden or birdsongs for time-telling, and some of the old phrases that have wisdom in weather-telling. Still, i felt the majority of the book was really just about gardening and encouraging folks to become more aware of their surroundings on the whole.
