All-Star Batman, Volume 1: My Own Worst Enemy by Scott Snyder

4.0

This took some getting used to, but when I accepted the shift in tone and voice, it was really a fun ride all the way through. The first arc has Batman trash-talking a slew of enemies while fighting them, getting chased by them in a different setting than we usually see him, and revealing a fascinating backstory about his history with Harvey Dent/Two Face.

I didn't know the new Bat-trainee, Duke, and I really don't like his costume, but I enjoyed getting to see him develop in the second arc of this collection.
