this is so queer and liberal that it’s actually jarring. it’s so funny and relatable. i loved greta and valdin’s perspectives and how well they fit together. they’re incredibly human and reading their internal dialogue is very comforting and validating. the family dynamics are so messy but a lot of the time relatable and true. there were a lot of references and Māori cultural references that i didn’t understand but that’s ignorance on my part. i loved this.
