The Missing Piece
by Kiersten Modglin
This book was a very easy and fast paced read, but it left a lot to desire. I felt like it really fell flat for me throughout the entire book.
I was able to figure out who was involved not far into the book so it left no surprise for me.
This book follows a senior in high school who went through something traumatic at a younger point in her life. She meets a new kid in school who assists in getting her to remember what exactly had happened all those years ago.
This main female character is a senior in high school, I had no way of really connecting with her. She was very cold and standoffish throughout the entire book…and even though she isn’t trusting of anyone…it only takes her a few weeks to fall for a guy she just met and knows nothing about…i just can’t relate!
I normally really enjoy this authors books, but this one was just not for me. I have difficulty reading any books where they take place in a school setting.
