Kate Morton is so great at weaving together a stories from the past & present into something cohesive and wonderful. We follow 3 different women in this story - Cassandra, her grandmother Nell, and Nell's second cousin Eliza.
After Nell dies, Cassandra tries to piece together Nell's biological family - something Nell was never fully able to do herself. There's lots of long lost secrets that are uncovered, bit by bit, through each woman's story. There's funny parts, sad parts - it's a really satisfying read.
