The overall writing and concept of this book were unique and I loved that, unfortunately the main female character was insufferable. Kidane feels very one dimensional, if you take away her need to find her sister and the things she does in the name of that then she's a little unhinged. Susenyos and the side characters are what kept me reading this book because I wanted to learn more about them. I probably won't pick up the next book because the plot twist upset me more than anything and made the first 70% seem almost pointless .
