Ghost Eaters
by Clay McLeod Chapman
I don't know... Maybe 2.5 stars rounding up, maybe 3.5 stars rounding down. This isn't a horror story, really. This is a story about drug addiction and manipulation and the wake left behind by them. There were some parts that got a little creepy, but this really wasn't a ghost story or anything about ghosts or anything about ghost stories.
I feel like the writing style was forced to be quirky, sometimes it worked but often it didn't. Plus, it gets oddly preachy at times about the importance of living and moving on from addiction and whatnot, which sure, that's important, but that's not what I'm here for.
