Everyone in the Scottish Bookshop series cracks me up. I love it when the characters are a bit outlandish, and I haven't thought about it before, but the characters always being so willing to discuss so much with a near stranger is both true to life and outrageous. I think to myself, "Who would tell all of that to a stranger?!" but there are so many times in life we get info dumped on by a stranger after a brief meeting in the grocery store; I imagine a traumatic event like a murder makes it even worse.
I do need Edwin to quit being so annoyingly vague. Why can't he tell people things?! I understand the answer is "plot reasons," but I don't enjoy it. Haha.
