thanks to netgalley for a free arc of this title. a complex, gorgeous, and visceral retelling of the prometheus myth, tongues is a whirlwind of mutiple narratives that ebb and weave in a liminality i don't see too often in graphic novels. the art is striking and the panel setup is so eclectic, making for a very interesting reading experience. my only critique is the lettering--it became very difficult to read at points, especially on a screen, and i struggled to get through some sections without zooming in on my screen.
