I’m a big Abby fan, but I’ve only read her last three books, so I decided to check out some of her older works. This book was okay, but it left me feeling a bit indifferent. It still had the cleverness I love from Abby and touched on an important topic, but it also felt kind of boring. It’s strange because I wasn’t exactly bored, but it took me a week to finish. Yes, I’ve been busy, but trust me, I always make time for a good book, especially if it’s an audiobook. TBH, I’m not sure if I will rush to read the rest of the books in this world…but maybe someone can tell me if they get better. Well technically I know they get better lol

I felt there was a lot of miscommunication and poor handling of situations, and honestly, Josh was kind of boring. The constant pushback was overdone. I usually appreciate some pushback, especially since I can be a bit intense (love you, bb 🥲😂😘), but the way he was so insistent—like “NO, I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME, LALALALALA, CAN’T HEAR YOU”—was a turn-off. The ending also left me feeling like reallly…after all of that.
