Dragon Flight by Jessica Day George

3.0

I read the first book in this series quite a while ago. I really did enjoy it, but didn't feel the need to pick up the next book immediately. So much time had passed (and so many books in-between)that I was a little nervous coming into the sequel. I didn't remember much, but it came back to me pretty quickly.

Really teetering between three and four stars here. I did enjoy it. It was well written. It did just feel a little "young" (even though the main characters are in their older teens). The cartoon cover is a good representation of the style of the story. Some of the events were just a little too ... cute or cartoonish. Even when there was fighting and life and death situations,it just didn't grab me like other, more "realistic" fantasy (I realize that's an oxymoron!) *Ü*
