Deception Point
by Dan Brown
I realized a few pages into this that I had read it before. I only remembered one of the main plot points and since I just finished Digital Fortress and enjoyed it, I figured I would give this another try. It's hard to review Deception Point since my overall opinion is that the surprises and revelations in this book weren't that surprising, and I've already read it before. Chapters didn't end in cliffhangers, there were an adundance of characters, many of which didn't need their own separate viewpoints, and the plot is one dimensional. It's enjoyable, and I didn't have any problem finishing it, but I wanted there to be more. More twists, more plot depth, maybe another side plot, something. Instead it's a bunch of gross politicians and corrupt officials going around being unpleasant, and what is shocking or thrilling about that?
