I don't quite know how to feel about this book. It was interesting to think about what might have happened to all of the characters in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas but the way some of them were handled was really questionable and felt trivialised. The narrative was also way too coincidental to be at all believable. Some books shouldn't have sequels and I think this is a prime example.
