enderst 's review for:
The Horse and His Boy
by C.S. Lewis
Enjoyable.
The actual story is probably the most interesting one, save The first book.
The characters were mostly good. I always feel like the Chronicle characters are all a bit shallow.
With gender and race you can definitely tell that this book is dated. I don't think it detracts too much from the book, but it does remind you that it was written in a very different time.
The weirdest thing to me is how Lewis talks about wars and battles with a weird glee and honor. I don't care for it.
