How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse by Cressida Cowell
4.0
You will be glad to know that while other people are working on a Tuesday morning like normal, responsible adults, I was holed up in the library silently laughing at jokes in children's literature because I don't have a proper job.
Anyway, Cowell has done it again. The How to Train Your Dragon series never fails to deliver a hopeful, heartwarming tale that leaves you seeing rainbows and stardust everywhere.
Like many of its counterparts, the story reminds us to believe in ourselves, and that the tiniest of people CAN make a difference. I feel How To Cheat a Dragon's Curse is one of the more emotionally charged instalments as it deals with themes of friendship, loyalty and sacrifice. There were times I was close to tearing but held myself back because it was a socially inappropriate thing to do in public, but otherwise, yes, I would have sobbed quietly because my heart is as weak as a piece of one-ply tissue.
On top of the adorableness of Toothless and Hiccup, Camicazi is definitely a brilliant inclusion to the team. She's badass. She's funny. I like her.
"My congratulations," growled One Eye to Hiccup, as he pulled them rapidly forwards. "You are the first Human I have ever met who uses his brain and not just his muscles."

"But that's blackmail!" protested Hiccup.
"You see," grinned Camicazi, "we Bog-Burglars have no morals at all. It's very useful to us."
