A Lady of Persuasion by Tessa Dare

2.0

Dios mio, y'all. Y'all kept telling me Tessa Dare was your queen, but she flopped HARDCORE here.

I'm not going to lie, I don't remember much of this book. I read it a few months ago and I remember practically nothing (and I have a wicked good memory. Like it's scary sometimes. And I cant remember jack shit about this book). I only remember the basics, so it's ultimately forgettable.

We follow a girl who wants to get a rich husband so she can do some humanitarian work but ends up being connected to a rake. The story is them falling in love, but the female main character was so infuriating. She practically refused to have character development, and was just infuriatingly holier-than-thou and single-minded. The male character was pretty good, though. He developed well, he was a good guy, and honestly, he deserved better than the female main character.

Ugh, just skip this one, y'all. I would've DNFed it if I didn't have to finish it for a video, and I regret the time I wasted on this train wreck.
