Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry

5.0

I'm a little embarrassed to admit how much I loved this book. It's clearly written for the YA market and I kind of hated the juvenile formatting but found the story so rich that I could dive beyond the aesthetics.

As the cover tagline states - it's full of heart - and it is! And yes, it made me cry - so, as far as easy, loveable (violent, tender, gruesome, captivating) summer reading goes, this one is a win.
