What a whirllllll wind I loved loved this
Finally a booktok book that’s actually worth it
If you don’t know already, a good girls guide to murder follows main character Pip who is obsessed with true crime and for her end assessment at school, focuses on how the media worked in a local case. The case being a murder case that happened years ago in her town where a girl went missing and days later her boyfriend killed himself. She doesn’t believe he did it and the girls body wasn’t ever found. The more she finds out, the more that is revealed that everything is not how it seemed at the time and she can’t walk away from this even though people may want her to.
Plot: I thought it was really fast paced and I thought I had guessed the mystery several times and ended up being wrong lol so I loved that. Many layers and it was definitely hard to put down at times and also a little creepy. I think it’s a YA and sometimes they are a bit cringe for me??? but this wasn’t
Characters: Oh how I loved the main character Pip. There was a huge range of characters and I liked the variation.
Final thoughts: Looking forward to picking up book 2! This is definitely a book to get you out of your slump. 🫶🏽
