Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
4.0
"For fans of Sarah J Maas and Holly Black"
I'll admit, when I read that on the front cover, that had me hooked, as I absolutely adore both authors. I then read the blurb and the story intrigued me immensely.
At first, it was a bit of a sluggish read. But then, it got REALLY interesting.
I can most especially see the elements that fans of Maas would enjoy:
Elizabeth is Celaena in a way
Blackwell is Arobynn in a way
John could be any number of Celaena's suitors, but I think Chaol or Sam is the most likely.
In a way, Fifer could be Nehemia
The plots are vaguely similar, although "Witch Hunter" seems to take place in a fantasised Medieval Europe (especially England).
All in all, a good read. Definitely reading the sequel.
