Not sure why this book is considered a literary classic. There are so many other books that SO much better at depicting anti-authoritarianism (and WITHOUT being blatantly misogynist).
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest depicts female characters as either bitches or sluts and does a lot of fearmongering around women possessing power. A lot of commentary on anti-authoritarianism is unfortunately tied to misogynistic rhetoric as well, such as men being "oppressed" by matriarchy.
