God of Malice by Rina Kent

I’m a sucker for a dark romance - this was pretty dark. First chapter off the hop had a non-con scene, so there’s that.
I did like most aspects of this.

One part I didn’t like was “you know I’m not a patient man. Or you know what happens when you run” and honestly - that never escalated to the “dark promises” he always alluded to. It felt almost empty threats or an aspect from the author to make him seem badder to the reader.

Definitely wasn’t a hero in any means, definitely a villain romance. It enthralled me enough to read it in a day, overall though. So all things considered - a decent read if you don’t get triggered easily and you like darker romance themes (yes, I’m talking darker than your average mafia, think bloody and detailed - then you have a decent headway into the mindset of this book)
