Dare I say this is my favorite book of 2024?!

What a fantastic debut from the author. I was scrambling to find time to finish the book. Cam is the ultimate cinnamon bun and golden retriever of a main character. Meanwhile Joey is more black cat and black coffee kind of main character.

The angst Katie creates between the main characters made everything that happens worth waiting for! The book starts off in a way I’ve never read had it was perfect and drew me right in without even a second to look back.

Together Joey and Cam gave each other the courage to grow and change and flourish while still maintaining a healthy relationship. All of Joey’s struggles made sense why she was closed off and Cam refusing to let her pull away tugged at every heartstring. And all the little synchronicities throughout the book were an added cutsie touch and made me grin every time there was another one.
