I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I expected it just to be a good laugh, but it was actually quite touching and well-written. I also appreciated how, even in a book with a heterosexual main couple, there are queer and non-binary characters in this world, and I'm assuming a future book will feature a sapphic couple which I am looking forward to reading (because of course I'm continuing this series)
