Together We Will Go
by J. Michael Straczynski
Suicide is a very heavy and difficult subject to deal with. Yet this book is a light and easy read. It focuses on a group of people, strangers at the start, who go on a road trip together. Their story is quite enjoyable and uplifting. This story is not heavy handed or preachy and it definitely does not judge. It answers questions about suicide I didn't even know to ask. And most importantly, it explains that suicide should not be considered shameful or irrational. Together We will Go is just a beautifully presented portrait of people who have seriously weighed their options and made the choice that is best for them at that time. You may not agree with those choices but you will at least understand and perhaps respect them.
