i really liked this book, the entire plot was great until the very end. there were a couple of holes: i don’t understand how Bel and Carter were so unemotional, apathetic towards the deaths of Jeff and Charlie. especially, Bel who loved Charlie so much, was barely fazed. i also don’t get how Carter accepted her new mother so easily. even tho Sherry was emotionally abusive, it was way too easy for Carter. i think the twists were good, and complicated too. overall a fun and easy read, besides the few plot holes. i would recommend.
Graphic: Confinement, Toxic relationship, Kidnapping, Gaslighting
Moderate: Cursing, Emotional abuse
Minor: Dementia, Death of parent
