I had to wait a couple days to try to write a review that could get across how I felt about this book. I’m not sure if this will even touch the way I feel about it. This story got me! Pulled at my heartstrings! I fell in love with Ash’s gentle, genuinely sweet character immediately and as a nanny for Tucker, Finn’s son, how he interacted with him was so heartfelt. And Finn, a single dad, with his grumpy, tough on the outside and a softness on the inside for Ash of course just had me gushing. I loved Ash’s flirty seductive banter in the beginning, sometimes would have me giggling out loud. I felt the emotions of Finn with his struggle in the realization of being bisexual. And when he gave in to his feelings and felt the unyielding love and happiness with Ash, I was doing a little happy dance for them. Between the tension and heartbreak Ash felt when his twin sister found out about him and her ex, the heartfelt moment of being called “mommy Ash”, family realizing when you didn’t and supporting you and your partner … my emotions were all over the place with this book. I went from laughing, to blushing, to swooning, to crying. The author did an exquisite job with the writing of this sweet and yet spicy love story. Whew their story has touched my soul, I can’t say enough. I may even have to listen to it on audio, it was so good. If you don’t read or listen to this book - you are missing out! Definitely will be reading more from Ashley James and can’t wait until the next book about Hollis.
